1. Our Commitment

NautiSimple ("the App") is a digital sailing logbook for iOS. The App is built on an offline-first architecture. We do not operate user accounts, cloud storage, or tracking infrastructure. Your sailing data belongs to you and remains under your control at all times.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

NautiSimple does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following on external servers:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Account credentials (no accounts are required)
• GPS tracks or location history
• Logbook entries, crew data, or voyage records
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data

3. Data Stored on Your Device

All data you create within NautiSimple is stored locally on your device. This includes:

• Logbook entries and voyage records
• GPS tracks and route data
• Nautical mile records and skipper confirmations
• Boat profiles and crew information
• App settings and preferences

This data is never transmitted to our servers. If you delete the App, this data will be removed from your device.

4. Location Data

NautiSimple requests access to your device's GPS location to enable voyage tracking and route recording. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to external servers. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. GPS tracking only runs when you explicitly start a recording.

5. Weather Data (AI Skipper Briefing)

When you use the AI Skipper Briefing feature, the App sends your current or selected coordinates to a third-party weather API to retrieve weather forecasts. Only geographic coordinates are transmitted — no personal information, device identifiers, or other data is included in these requests.

6. Data Export

NautiSimple allows you to export your data in PDF, GPX, and CSV formats. These exports are generated locally on your device. Sharing exported files (e.g., via email, AirDrop, or other apps) is initiated solely by you and handled by your device's operating system.

7. Backup

NautiSimple supports local backup functionality. Backups are created and stored on your device or through Apple's built-in iCloud backup mechanism. We do not operate any cloud backup service.

8. Third-Party Services

NautiSimple does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service used is a weather data provider for the Skipper Briefing feature (see Section 5).

9. Children's Privacy

NautiSimple does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected, the App is safe for use by people of all ages.

10. Data Security

Since your data remains on your device, its security is managed by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, device encryption). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.

11. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, modify, or delete. All your data is under your direct control on your device. You can delete any or all data within the App at any time.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

13. App Store

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple's own privacy policy and terms of service apply to your use of the App Store. We encourage you to review Apple's privacy practices separately.
